OUR MISSION
At Argentinos Mirando Al Sur, we envision a world that respects and promotes human rights for all. Solidarity is one of those social virtues that must be cultivated in order to pledge our commitment to a more equitable and just society for those families struggling to survive with dignity in a dizzying world that fails to acknowledge their pleas for help.
At one point or another, we have all felt a compelling need to make a positive difference in someone’s life and leave this world a better place, but we do not quite know what to do or how to go about it. We tend to think that what we have to offer is too little and too late to revert the effects of poverty. We feel that they live too far from us for any of our help to reach them effectively.
In fact, quite the contrary is true. Every little step we take to improve the quality of life of these marginalized children goes a long way in building a sustainable future. Your contribution could mean the blessing of a glass of fresh water to quench their thirst during a stifling summer day, a hot meal to soothe the rumbling protest coming from their tummies at bedtime, or the pair of shoes that will lead their way to school.
Throughout our short, yet rewarding journey of solidarity, we have already learned that together we can bridge distances to foster the overall social integration of children, which in turn, could stimulate the socioeconomic development of their communities.
